Brent Beckley possesses the qualities of a leader and an active individual within society.
Mr. Brent Beckley believes in community service and sharing his time and expertise with those around him. He was awarded numerous service-based and academic scholarships while an undergraduate at the University of Montana, Missoula, further evincing his belief in giving back. Beckley received the Kissler Scholarship Award for academic performance and community service while studying Financial Management at the University of Montana. Maintaining this scholarship for eight consecutive semesters, Beckley pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management at the same time. He also received and maintained the D.J. Schultz Scholarship Award for ten consecutive semesters. An active member of Greek life, Brent was awarded the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity service and academics scholarship during his time at University. Beckley has also volunteered in numerous fraternity-sponsored activities that benefited local and national causes.
Brent Beckley volunteered at his local YMCA while still pursuing his diploma. His passion for soccer led him to volunteer as a youth soccer coach at the Y where he coached a second grade boys and a fifth grade girls team. Mr. Beckley expertly interacted with this youthful club, as well as other coaches and the parents of players on his team. His leadership stressed the fundamentals of the game—such as passing, dribbling and shooting—and he also covered teamwork and sportsmanship with his squads.
From September 2005 to April 2006, Mr. Brent Beckley spent his weekends lending a hand at the Salvation Army Food Kitchen in Vancouver, British Columbia. During that time, he prepared and served meals to those in need and formed close bonds with his fellow volunteers.
In his free time, Brent enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and golfing. An avid reader, Beckley is fond of the following quotation, attributed to Benjamin Franklin: “He that would live in peace and at ease, must not speak all he knows nor judge all he sees.”
